my wife and myself stayed at The Arkleside Country Guest House for two days whilst we looked around the North Yorks area for a property. The owners are really nice and nothing is too much trouble. Made to feel so comfortable, and great advice about surounding area's invaluable. Great place to be based for walking and a choice of 3 country pubs in the village.The view from the house is stunning and the food served at breakfast is excellent. Source - Trip Advisor

This hotel was tucked away on a corner of a really lovely location and the owners were very welcoming and friendly. Offered to help with the luggage and gave ideas and tips of where to go and visit.
The rooms were a little on the small side but that made it cosy! Very very clean and fresh bedding and the bathrooms were very clean too!
The breakfast in the morning was the best B&B breakfast I have ever had and would definately recommend this to friends in the future! Source - Trip Advisor

We have been staying at Arkleside for the past 6 years and really wouldnt consider anywhere else. Second visit this year. New management running as a Guest House, superb food , excellent Chef, friendly service, stunning views from rear bedrooms, so book early. Source - Trip Advisor

We travel alot and have experienced good and bad hotels and B&B's and I must say you could not fault the service here.
It was clean and the view was fantastic. (room 2)
shower room was small, but it did the job.
The owners had good local knowledge of walks, drives and resturants.
On our last day we had beautiful weather and we were offered breakfast outside, which was great.
Full english with choice of cereal and toast.

My partner and I stayed here and really enjoyed our experience. The walks are lovely from this location and we were recommended places to visit by the owners. We have stayed here a few times now and cannot fault the service we have received!! The rooms have always been clean and the linen fresh, the views from most rooms are spectacular, the breakfast is superb and is served with a smile! The owners are very friendly and willing to pass on local knowledge about walks, pubs, attractions etc. We definately plan to return again soon!! Source - Trip Advisor
